Brighton vs. Arsenal: Date, time, live stream and how to watchDAZN

Arsenal head into the final day of 2022 with a five-point lead atop the Premier League standings.

The Gunners visit Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday with a chance to maintain or even increase that cushion, depending on what second place Manchester City do in their game against Everton earlier in the day. Regardless, Arsenal will be the league leaders to start 2023, an enviable position for Mikel Arteta's side given their recent history.

Similarly, Brighton started the weekend in seventh place and looking like a genuine threat to contend for a European place at the end of the campaign. The Seagulls have won three of their last four league matches, and Arteta knows they'll be a tough test for his side.

“They are a really good team,” Arteta said. “They are playing at a really high level. They are a team that dominate almost every phase of play that is relevant to dominate a football match."

The Gunners know better than most just how good Brighton are, having fallen out of the Carabao Cup by way of a 3-1 loss to the Seagulls last month.

“It is always a really difficult and tricky game," Arteta said. "They have a lot of individual quality, a lot of composure on the ball. They are a team that are really aggressive and they will ask some big questions. We’ll need to be at a really high level to win the game."
