After winning just one of their opening seven games in 2022, the Detroit Lions won eight of their final 10 matches to finish the season 9-8 and above .500 for the first time since 2017.

And Lions fans have reasons to be optimistic ahead of the 2023 season, following the emgerence of Amon-Ra St. Brown as a top tier wide receiver and the drafting of elite prospects in running back Jahmyr Gibbs and tight end Sam LaPorta.

Detroit will start the season without wide receiver Jameson Williams, who was selected 12th overall in the 2022 NFL Draft, after he was suspended for the first six games of the season for violating the NFL's gambling policy.

The Lions are still chasing a first NFC North title, their last divisional title was back in 1993 in the old NFC Central division, but if they can start the season how they ended the last they may well be in with a chance.

Here's everything you need to know ahead of Detroit Lions' 2023 season.
