Otto Wallin has the power to knock out Andy Ruiz. That’s the opinion of former world title challenger, Dmitriy Salita, who is hoping to guide the Swedish star into the heavyweight title picture.
Wallin hit the headlines in 2019 when he gave Tyson Fury a hard night before losing on the scorecards.
The 30-year-old contender followed that performance with impressive wins over Travis Kauffman and Dominic Breazeale, and now he is targeting a showdown with the man who shocked Anthony Joshua two year ago.
Salita, now a successful promoter handling the careers of many top fighters, believes Wallin is getting better all the time and that he has the tools to cause damage to Ruiz.
“I believe he has the skills, power and size to do it," said Salita when speaking to Sky Sports. “Beating Breazeale the way he [Wallin] did shows how much he has improved since the Fury fight."
“I am sure his size, skills and devotion to his craft is making world class fighters think twice about sharing the ring with him.
"Otto and Andy gave the toughest challenge to two of the current world heavyweight champions. It makes sense for them to fight, especially if Tyson Fury fights Anthony Joshua.”
