Chelsea vs. Liverpool: Preview, stream, TV channel and how to watch Premier League matchDAZN

Two of the Premier League's biggest clubs look to start putting a disappointing 2022-23 campaign behind them as kick off the new season at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

Chelsea had a season to forget, finishing in 11th place after racking up more losses than wins. The Blues have spent nearly £200 million this summer looking to upgrade their squad in order to compete for a European spot this season, and their first test comes in the form of a Liverpool side that are also aiming for improvement during this campaign.

The Reds were nowhere near as bad as Chelsea last season, but they did miss out on the Champions League by virtue of their fifth-place finish, and thus will take part in the Europa League. Liverpool haven't undergone as extensive a summer overhaul as their London opponents, but the arrival of Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai should help shore up a midfield that struggled at times last season.

"[T]he Premier League is the best league in the world and Liverpool is one of the best clubs in the world, so that's why I came. I want to achieve a lot with this team," Szoboszlai said ahead of Sunday's match.

"Really looking forward and really excited to get started [after] a great pre-season with some games and minutes in everyone's legs. Really excited to get started."
