The race for the 2024 NFL postseason is quickly ramping up as several NFC teams look to secure themselves a coveted playoff berth.
Just seven spots are on offer for teams across the conference, and each of them will do everything they can to move a step closer to Super Bowl LIX.
Here is the current playoff picture for the NFC.
1. Detroit Lions, 10-1
The Lions hold on to the number one seed heading into their bye week and will have home field advantage if the regular season ended today.
2. Philadelphia Eagles, 9-2
The Eagles extended their lead at the top of the NFC East with a win over the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday Night Football as they look to push the Detroit Lions to the wire for the number one seed.
3. Seattle Seahawks, 6-5
Seattle's 16-6 win over the Arizona Cardinals saw them jump to the number three seed with a head-to-head tiebreaker which also keeps the Atlanta Falcons at bay.
4. Atlanta Falcons, 6-5
A battering at the hands of Denver has checked the Falcons and their momentum further, leaving them now on a two-game loss streak atop the NFC South division.
5. Minnesota Vikings, 9-2
The Vikings may struggle to keep pace with the Lions, but the team strengthened its grip on a wildcard berth with a Week 12 win over the Chicago Bears.
6. Green Bay Packers, 8-3
The Packers continued winning in Week 12 against a struggling San Francisco 49ers as they look to cement themselves for a place at wildcard weekend.
7. Washington Commanders, 7-5
A loss to Philadelphia in Week 11 has seen the Commanders stumble, but losing in the final seconds of a chaotic clash with the Dallas Cowboys has left the Commanders looking over their shoulder with the Cardinals only a half-game behind.
In the hunt
- 8. Arizona Cardinals 6-5 (NFC West)
- 9. Tampa Bay Buccaneers 5-6 (NFC South)
- 10. Los Angeles Rams 5-5 (NFC West)
- 11. San Francisco 49ers 5-6 (NFC West)
