The 2023-24 NFL season is over. After 285 games, the Kansas City Chiefs are the champions. But as one season ends, the preparation for the next season starts immediately.
The 2024 NFL Draft is 74 days away. The scouting combine is just 14 days away. The next generation of NFL players is ready to make their impact.
And while the last two teams ended their season on Super Bowl Sunday, the teams with top ten picks have already started planning for the 2024 NFL Draft.
How will these teams make their picks? And which players will they select?
Here is DAZN's mock draft for the top ten picks.
1. Chicago Bears - QB, Caleb Williams, USC
The Chicago Bears are now on the clock. The Bears own this pick, thanks to a trade with the Carolina Panthers. The Panthers finished the season with the worst record, so the Bears have the first pick.
Chicago's choice is tough. Do they stick with incumbent quarterback Justin Fields and trade this pick away? Or will they draft USC quarterback Caleb Williams?
Williams is the most talented quarterback in the draft. He could electrify and energise Chicago's offense. But he is a raw rookie and requires time. Fields owns the NFL experience and knows the offense.
However, Fields is due for a contract extension. Williams will be on a cost-controlled rookie contract. Ultimately, that will tilt Chicago's decision. And they should make Caleb Williams the first overall selection.
2. Washington Commanders - QB, Drake Maye, University of North Carolina
With a rocket-throwing arm, stocky build and a competitive attitude, Drake Maye is an uber-talented quarterback perfect for the Washington Commanders' new era.
3. New England Patriots - WR, Marvin Harrison Jr, Ohio State University
Rumours in New England suggest that the Patriots could pass on a quarterback in round one. This is likely if Williams and Maye are the first two selections. In that instance, the Patriots should select the best offensive player.
Marvin Harrison Jr., the son of a Hall of Famer, is the most talented wide receiver in the 2024 NFL Draft. He is an electric talent capable of game-changing plays. The Patriots have not had a world-class wideout in a decade. Harrison Jr will change that.
4. Arizona Cardinals - WR, Malik Nabers, Lousiana State University
With Kyler Murray returning to full fitness, the Cardinals must build an offense around him. LSU's Malik Nabers could provide the juice. Nabers is a twitchy, explosive pass-catcher with a knack for attacking the intermediate and deep parts of the field.
Pairing Nabers with Murray and Hollywood Brown could elevate Arizona's offensive output in 2024.
5. LA Chargers - OT, Olu Fashanu, Penn State
The Chargers' best asset is quarterback Justin Herbert. Protecting him is critical. Head coach Jim Harbaugh wants to build teams in the trenches.
Drafting Olu Fashanu will help fortify LA's offensive line. Harbaugh knows Fashanu from their time in the BIG 10 Conference. Fashanu is a powerful blocker, athletic and agile.
6. New York Giants - QB, Jayden Daniels, Louisiana State University
With Daniel Jones injured and Tommy DeVito likely being a career backup, the Giants must find a legitimate answer at quarterback. Jayden Daniels is a dual-threat quarterback with high potential. He is also a Heisman Trophy winner.
The Giants have not had a franchise quarterback since Eli Manning retired. Daniels has all the potential to become that.
7. Tennessee Titans - OL, Joe Alt, Notre Dame
The Titans have young quarterback Will Levis. Considering Levis faced heavy pressure last season, the Titans must strengthen their offensive line. Notre Dame's Joe Alt is a tall, athletic and destructive protector.
8. Atlanta Falcons - QB, Michael Penix Jr, University of Washington
This pick could be a reach; Penix Jr is not a top-ten overall prospect. But he is a quarterback. The Falcons do not have a long-term answer at quarterback. Penix's performances at Washington could see teams take a punt on him. Atlanta needs a quarterback, and Penix could be the option.
9. Chicago Bears - DE, Jared Verse, Florida State University
After getting Montez Sweat, the Bears could use their second top-ten pick to add another devastating pass rusher. FSU's Jared Verse is a high-motor destroyer with solid pass-rushing moves. Pairing him with Sweat would enhance Chicago's solid defense.
10. New York Jets - WR, Keon Coleman, Florida State University
The Jets need younger, more explosive pass-catching options. Garrett Wilson is an excellent number-one option, but the Jets lack playmaking depth at receiver. Keon Coleman is an explosive catcher with stunning catching ability and body control.
