With the NFL regular season over and the conclusion of "Black Monday", a number of franchises begin their search for new head coaches and their supporting staff.

There is still football to be played in the playoffs and then Super Bowl LIX on February 9, but the coaching carousel will also have the attention of NFL fans.

Here are the current coaching vacancies across the NFL.

Current job openings

Jacksonville Jaguars

Head coach Doug Pederson was fired by the franchise at the conclusion of the 2024 regular season.

Pederson's only success with the team came in his first season after being hired in 2022 where he led the Jaguars to the playoffs. Since then, the team has struggled to remain as a regular playoff contender and finished this season with a dismal 4-13 record.

Chicago Bears

Matt Eberflus was fired after poor time management in the Thanksgiving Day loss to the Detroit Lions.

Thomas Brown was then named interim head coach, but he has struggled to make his own mark prompting the Bears to begin an interview process to find the next head coach to work with number one draft pick Caleb Williams.

Bears interviewing:

  • Drew Petzing, Cardinals offensive coordinator
  • Brian Flores, Vikings defensive coordinator
  • Arthur Smith, Steelers offensive coordinator
  • Ben Johnson, Lions offensive coordinator
  • Aaron Glenn, Lions defensive coordinator
  • Anthony Weaver, Dolphins defensive coordinator
  • Mike McCarthy, Cowboys head coach
  • Mike Kafka, Giants offensive coordinator
  • Mike Vrabel, former Titans head coach

New England Patriots

Jerod Mayo's time as a head coach in Foxborough did not last long after he was fired less than two hours after the Patriots beat the Buffalo Bills in Week 18.

With approximately $130m in cap space and quarterback Drake Maye proving to be an exciting talent under centre, the Patriots will be an attractive vacancy.

Patriots interviewing:

  • Ben Johnson, Lions offensive coordinator

New Orleans Saints

Dennis Allen was fired in November with former special teams coach Darren Rizzi taking charge on an interim basis.

Rizzi put together a 3-4 record with the team, but it's clear that the Saints will now enter a rebuild.

Saints interviewing:

  • Aaron Glenn, Lions defensive coordinator
  • Joe Brady, Bills offensive coordinator
  • Kellen Moore, Eagles offensive coordinator
  • David Shaw, former Stratford head coach

New York Jets

Head coach Robert Saleh was given the boot earlier in the season with a familiar feeling of chaos engulfing the Jets once more.

Two interviews have already been completed with Mike Vrabel and Ron Rivera already meeting the Jets hierarchy.

Jets interviewing:

  • Arthur Smith, Steelers offensive coordinator
  • Joe Brady, Bills offensive coordinator
  • Jeff Ulbrich, Jets interim head coach
  • Brian Flores, Vikings defensive coordinator
  • Josh McCown, Vikings quarterbacks coach
  • Bobby Slowik, Texans offensive coordinator
  • Rex Ryan, former Jets and Bills head coach
  • Aaron Glenn, Lions defensive coordinator
  • Vance Joseph, Broncos defensive coordinator
  • Matt Nagy, Chiefs offensive coordinator
  • Brian Griese, 49ers quarterbacks coach
