Every few years, a new tight end emerges out of college and is expected to take the NFL by storm - in 2024 that person is Brock Bowers.
The 21-year-old is tipped to be one of the best tight ends in the NFL for years to come.
But what makes him such an exciting prospect? DAZN takes a closer look at Brock Bowers.
Background and college career
Brock Bowers was born in Napa, California and attended the local high school playing basketball and football.
After high school Bowers was highly sought-after and deemed a four-star recruit before committing to play for Georgia.
Over three years at Georgia, Bowers has played 40 games, making over 50 receptions and 700 receiving yards in each season.
Bowers also scored 26 receiving and five rushing touchdowns on the way to winning two national championships and two John Mackey Awards - given to the best tight end in college football.
What sort of player is he?
Bowers is a pass-catching tight end with exceptional speed and acceleration, which he pairs with his size and strength to brush asides would-be tacklers for yards after the catch.
The 21-year-old is also good as a blocker, but it is his explosiveness with the ball in hand which makes him the top-ten prospect he is.
Where is he likely to be drafted?
Only three tight ends have been top-ten selections in the last decade, so breaking into that group will not be easy for Bowers - though many expect it to happen.
The Indianapolis Colts, New York Jets and Tennessee Titans are just a few possible landing spots for Bowers, all of which have their first-round selection between pick seven and pick 15.
