There was no injury designation for the quarterback after fears he had picked up a problem in defeat against the Minnesota Vikings.

Aaron Rodgers is expected to be fit for the New York Jets when they face rivals the Buffalo Bills in a Week 6 matchup on Monday.

The quarterback appeared to suffer an ankle sprain during last week's defeat to the Minnesota Vikings in the NFL International Series opener in London.

Having missed most of the 2023 campaign through injury, there were fears that the former MVP could be set for another spell on the medical table.

But Rodgers came through a full practice on Saturday and was given no injury designation by the Jets ahead of a crucial crunch clash with the Bills.

Head coach Robert Saleh was dismissed on Tuesday following a 2-3 start to the season, leaving the team with a 20-36 record after taking charge in 2021.

Jeff Ulbrich has taken the top job on an interim basis through the end of the campaign as the Jets seek to steady the ship and rebuild for another postseason push.

Rodgers has thrown 111 passes for 1,093 yards, seven touchdowns and four interceptions so far this term, with three of those against the Vikings alone.

He previously had a knee problem ahead of the trip to London, but was not given an injury designation initially then either, suggesting he will star once more.
