The Baltimore Ravens welcome the Kansas City Chiefs to M&T Bank Stadium on Sunday evening for the AFC Championship Game.
A dominant second half saw the Ravens beat the Houston Texans in the Divisional Round, while Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes recorded his first road playoff win at the Buffalo Bills.
Now, Mahomes and co. must beat the AFC's number one seed if they are to travel to Las Vegas and defend their Super Bowl title.
Ravens safety Marcus Williams says the home field advantage will play a "pivotal role" on Sunday, and the statistics support that idea.
Against the Texans last week, Houston had five false starts and one delay of game as they struggled to communicate on offense with the noise being generated by the Ravens fans.
And it was not just against the Texans. Opposing offenses at M&T Bank Stadium in 2023 had 19 false starts and nine delay of games - both the highest for a ground in the NFL.
Speaking to the Up & Adams Show, Williams said: "They are so important, the amount of penalties that other teams get called for is amazing.
"We need them to come out again and be loud and be proud of us.
"They are a big factor in games like this, especially this championship game, they are going to play a pivotal role in our win."
