Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry are an absolute conundrum to deal with.
The Pittsburgh Steelers already knew that being stuck in the same division as the Baltimore Ravens. And they found out again Saturday night in the NFL Wild Card Playoffs as Jackson and Henry produced two touchdowns apiece to lead the Ravens to a 28-14 walloping of the Steelers at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, Maryland.
Jackson finished with 175 passing yards and two touchdowns, adding another 81 yards on the ground, while Henry rushed for 186 yards and two TDs on 26 carries to lead the Ravens to victory. The two stars combined for 267 yards of the Ravens' total 299 yards rushing.
In many ways, the Ravens never looked back after building their 13-play, 95-yard opening drive which ended in Jackson finding Rashod Bateman for a 15-yard touchdown. The Ravens' drives would only get more demoralizing for the Steelers from there.
Henry tacked on an 8-yard rushing TD in a second-quarter drive that had the Ravens rushing a spectacular 13 straight times.
Then, with two minutes left before the half, Jackson took just 1:51 to author a nine-play, 90-yard drive ending in a 5-yard touchdown pass to Justice Hill.
The score was especially disheartening to the Steelers as Jackson dropped back out the shotgun, danced and extended the play before finding Hill for the short pass which gave Baltimore a 21-0 edge at halftime.
Though Russell Wilson would throw for two touchdowns in the third quarter — the first to Van Jefferson and second to George Pickens — the scores were sandwiched between a 44-yard breakout touchdown from Henry.
Baltimore wouldn't need any further scores from there.
With the dominant victory, the Ravens not only end the season of their AFC North rivals but also send a serious warning to the rest of the playoff field as they advance to the Divisional round of the NFL postseason next weekend.
