As the first overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, all eyes were on Bryce Young this weekend.
The Carolina Panthers quarterback knows how to operate in the spotlight, and the former Alabama star did not take long to get his first NFL touchdown pass under his belt.
With the Panthers down 7-0 to the Atlanta Falcons in the second quarter, Young went to work and led the Panthers on a 13-play, 75-yard drive into Atlanta's end zone, capped off by a four-yard pass to Hayden Hurst for the score.
There was only one problem, however. With emotions running high, Hurst promptly tossed the football into the crowd after stepping over the goal line.
It is customary across many sports for the ball to be kept for the player when a milestone is hit, and the NFL is no different. Young would probably love to add that football to his personal collection, but it's unclear whether he'll be able to.
