Davante Adams knows a thing or two about being great at football.
The six-time Pro Bowler is going into his 11th season in the NFL, and has played with, and against, some of the best of all time.
One player he has never faced, however, is Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, that is until this weekend.
Adams has twice faced the Ravens during his career, once before Jackson entered the league and the other while he was out injured in 2021.
Speaking to the press after Wednesday's training, Adams said he had studied Jackson to become a better player, and labelled the Ravens QB as the "best ball carrier ever".
"The dude changed the game," Adams told reporters.
"In my opinion he's the best ball carrier ever, no matter what position you want to talk about.
"I don't think anybody's as big of a threat carrying the football."
Jackson ranked third in all-time rushing yards for quarterbacks - behind only Cam Newton and Michael Vick.
He is just 729 rushing yards' behind Vick's all-time record of 6,109, so a third 1,000-yard rushing season for Jackson would see him well past that figure.
"He has worked really hard to develop in the other parts of his game as well," Adams said of Sunday's opponent.
"He's a huge threat, somebody you've got to be accountable for out there and make sure you know what he's doing."
The Raiders and Ravens are both 0-1 after Week 1, so will be looking for their first win of the season when they meet at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore on Sunday.
