San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel has been singing the praises of Minnesota Vikings quarterback Joshua Dobbs.
Dobbs, who was traded to the Vikings hours before the deadline, was called upon just six days later after starting quarterback Jaren Hall went down injured.
The 28-year-old, who admitted that he had not thrown a single pass in training and did not know his teammates' names, somehow steered the Vikings to a 31-28 comeback win over the Atlanta Falcons.
Dobbs, a qualified aerospace engineer, threw two touchdowns and rushed in another as he pulled off a remarkable debut win.
And speaking to the Up&Adams Show, star 49ers wide receiver Samuel had nothing but positive things to say about Dobbs.
"I played against him in college, and to see the things he is doing with the opportunities he has been given is just crazy," said Samuel.
"Going from Arizona on a Tuesday, and to play the way he did on Sunday was amazing for him to come out on top.
"I think he's got it, the way he attacks every opportunity he's been given, going out there and getting a win says a lot about his character and his leadership.
"To go from one team to another in a week and win a game and play well, it says a lot about him."
