Lamar Jackson's five passing touchdowns led the way for the Baltimore Ravens smacking the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 41-31, on Monday Night Football.
Here, DAZN presents the five takeaways to the Ravens defeating the Bucs.
Is Lamar Jackson now the frontrunner to win MVP?
The Ravens starting this season 0-2 painted a bleak outlook for their year. But Lamar Jackson has changed all that.
Since falling in that early hole, the two-time NFL MVP has powered the Ravens to a five-game winning streak, which included his five passing TDs against the Bucs on Monday night.
With the Ravens cooking now touting a 5-2 record in the AFC North, is it time to place Jackson as the frontrunner to win the MVP for the third time in his career?
He's certainly making his case — and one that's starting to get difficult to argue against.
Derrick Henry can turn on the jets when he needs to
At roughly 250 pounds, Henry is known as a bruising power rusher capable of trucking defenders whenever he touches the ball.
But Monday night's win over the Bucs also showed that the veteran can turn on the jets and flat out speed down the field as this 81-yard rush proved.
Henry, who's leading running backs in rushing yards this season, is looking more and more like a man possessed when he runs.
The chemistry between Lamar Jackson and Mark Andrews is becoming glaring
Another week, some more Jackson touchdown strikes to tight end Mark Andrews who is becoming more and more of a weapon for the two-time NFL MVP.
Jackson linked up with the tight end for a TD pass in the second quarter and another one in the third.
In the last three games, Andrews has hauled in 11 catches for 162 receiving yards and three touchdowns, exemplifying the chemistry between he and Jackson.
Marlon Humphrey was phenomenal
The Ravens' high-octane offense is noted. However, veteran cornerback Humphrey anchoring Baltimore's secondary is a sight to behold as well.
Humphrey's two interceptions during the first half helped ensure that the Ravens run away with the game and what's more — he's showed how scary the Ravens can be on both sides of the ball, a hallmark of a Super Bowl contender.
It was a bittersweet, costly night for the Buccaneers
After Mike Evans caught his 100th career touchdown during the first quarter, he was injured in the second and limped off the field.
Later in the game, fellow wideout Chris Godwin was hit after a 21-yard reception had to be carted off the field with the fear of a severe leg injury.
A loss is one thing but losing your two star wide receivers is an entirely other issue.
