NFL pundit and former player Jason Bell ranked his top five NFC quarterbacks.
On the 888Sport NFL show, Bell listed Jalen Hurts, Dak Prescott, Brock Purdy, Matthew Stafford and Jared Goff as his top five NFC quarterbacks. Bell ranked Hurts first overall, and he explained it by saying, "He's getting better every week. He's a top guy for sure."
It is hard to argue with Bell; Hurts' record as a starter is 29-12, and this season, he has helped the Philadelphia Eagles race out to a 6-1 record. Hurts is a consistent performer with all the physical attributes.
Bell listed Stafford in second in a move that might surprise some fans. The veteran gunslinger has the most potent, talented throwing arm in the NFC. Bell and co-host Phoebe Schecter agreed that Stafford's arm talent is extraordinary. Schecter said, "Some of the throws he makes, you think, wow."
Rounding out his top five, Bell ranked Prescott, Goff and Purdy in third, fourth and fifth respectively. All three are good quarterbacks with plenty of talent. Goff has led a Detroit Lions revival, Prescott is 65-38, and Purdy has lost just two games since becoming a starting quarterback.
