There is no question that the Super Bowl is one of the biggest events on the sporting calendar.
While the event features just two NFL teams based in the United States, it still has a worldwide appeal with all the pageantry that comes with it.
Not only is it a game between two of the NFL's best teams, but it also has a halftime show from one of the world's biggest music stars.
Over recent years, the game has been a mainstay in February, but has this always been the case?
