The Jacksonville Jaguars missed out on the 2023 NFL playoffs after a Week 18 loss to the Tennessee Titans.
The Jags went into the weekend top of the AFC South, but after the Houston Texans' win on Saturday they were left needing a win to clinch the division title.
Things started badly against the Titans, with Tyjae Spears scoring his second rushing touchdown of the season midway through the first quarter.
And things got worse before half-time, as Derrick Henry and another Spears score put Tennessee 21-13 up at the half.
Jacksonville were kept without a point in the third quarter, and despite scoring a touchdown through Evan Engram late on they could not turn the tables.
They were not helped by Trevor Lawrence's two interceptions, and a lack of efficiency in the running game.
The Jaguars' disappointment is delight for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Buffalo Bills, as their playoff status was confirmed with Jacksonville's loss.
It also means the Houston Texans top the AFC South for the first time since 2019.
