The Chiefs tight end was offered the chance to appear on a new NFL documentary.

There’s no denying that Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce is one of the most high-profile players in the NFL.

As one of the greatest tight ends ever to play the sport, a three-time Super Bowl winner and the favourite target of the best player in the NFL, Patrick Mahomes, there’s a good reason for his popularity. You may also have heard of his partner, Taylor Swift.

While Kelce is a near ever-present in the media these days, one place you won’t see him is on Netflix’s new ‘Receiver’ documentary, after he declined an invitation to have reality TV cameras following him last season.

The show is a sequel to last summer’s ‘Quarterback’ and featured Kelce’s teammate Mahomes, but the 34-year-old explained on the Bussin’ with the Boys podcast why said no.

“After [Patrick Mahomes] did it, I did get asked about it,” Kelce said. “I’d rather just play ball, man; I’m already doing enough with the podcast and everything. I’m way over the reality s***, dude. I’m out on that s***.”

The documentary will feature a tight end in George Kittle of the San Francisco 49ers, plus wide receivers Justin Jefferson of the Vikings, the Radiers’ Davante Adams, Amon-Ra- St Brown of the Lions and the 49ers’ Deebo Samuel.
