A pair of AFC teams looking to change their fortunes meet on Sunday as the Las Vegas Raiders visit the Cincinnati Bengals for a Week 9 showdown.
The Raiders (2-6) are losers of four straight games and in desperate need of a victory to get their season back on track. They face a Bengals (3-5) team also in search of a boost after falling in their last game, and if it's going to come from anywhere it'll likely be quarterback Joe Burrow leading the charge.
For Las Vegas, Burrow's multitude of weapons poses a very real threat, and it's something the Raiders will key in when the teams square off.
"He doesn’t flinch,” Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce said. “He sees it, he sees a single high [safety], that ball is going to the outside. If he sees the two high safeties, he makes the correct throw, throws a check down or gets the ball in the middle of the field.
"But more importantly, I think what shocked me was the athleticism I saw from the Giants game [Week 6] with a 50-yard touchdown [run]. [He’s] competitive, tough, smart. You can see battling all the injuries, everything is rallied around this player, he’s a special player.
"So, we gotta disrupt him, make him uncomfortable, and obviously not allow him to have easy targets.”
The game will be available in a number of regions for free via NFL Game Pass on DAZN.
