It's bad news for the Los Angeles Rams offense with star wide receiver Cooper Kupp suffering another injury setback.
The 30-year-old picked up a hamstring injury at the start of August and was forced to leave practice. However, he eventually returned once back at full fitness.
But there has now been another bump in Kupp's road to recovery after head coach Sean McVay told reporters on Thursday that he had picked up a muscle strain.
As a result Kupp is being monitored day-to-day with McVay stating that the Rams are "obviously a much better team when he's available."
Rams fans will be hoping this does not mark the start of another injury crisis after the team were decimated during the 2022 season. Kupp was among those who were injured and saw his season cut short after just nine games.
Now it will be a race against time with the Rams beginning their 2023 campaign with a trip to the Seattle Seahwaks on opening weekend.
