Another country will be added to the list of nations that have hosted an NFL game as the league announced Friday that Spain will provide the backdrop for a regular season game in 2025.
The game will be played in Madrid, with Real Madrid's Estadio Santiago Bernabeu the venue.
The Bernabeu has just undergone an extensive renovation, making it a natural choice to host a game. It joins other iconic venues from around the world to host NFL contests, including Wembley Stadium, Estadio Azteca, Allianz Arena and Twickhenham Stadium.
The league will also feature a game in Brazil for Week 1 of the 2024 season, as the Philadelphia Eagles face a yet-to-be-announced team at the Corinthians Arena in Sao Paulo.
