On Wednesday, the NFL announced the players of the week for the AFC and NFC in Week 12.

AFC

Offense: Tua Tagovailoa, Miami Dolphins

Tagovailoa recorded a 128.9 passer rating in Miami's 34-15 win over the New England Patriots, with 317 passing yards, four touchdown passes and zero interceptions.

It's the Dolphins quarterback's third-career Player of the Week award and first this season.

Defense: Myles Garrett, Cleveland Browns

Garrett was a defensive tour de force in Week 12, with five tackles, three sacks and a forced fumble in Cleveland's 24-19 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers.

This is Garrett's fourth-career Player of the Week nod, as he also earned one during each of the previous seasons.

Special teams: Wil Lutz, Denver Broncos

The Broncos kicker had 17 points in the team's 29-19 win on the road against the Las Vegas Raiders, including five converted field goals on five attempts.

This is the sixth-career Player of the Week award and second of the season for Lutz.

NFC

Offense: Saquon Barkley, Philadelphia Eagles

The Player of the Week award might have to be renamed for Barkley, who earned his fourth honour this season and seventh of his career.

Barkley was once again unstoppable for the Eagles in Week 12, with a career-high 302 scrimmage yards (255 rushing, 47 receiving) and two touchdowns in Philadelphia's 37-20 win at the Los Angeles Rams.

The 27-year-old set a career high and a franchise record with his 255 rushing yards, and his 302 scrimmage yards were the ninth-most by a player in a single game in NFL history.

Defense: Coby Bryant, Seattle Seahawks

The Seahawks' safety made a major impact on his team's 16-6 victory over the Arizona Cardinals in Week 12, with six tackles and a 69-yard pick-6 that essentially sealed the win.

Bryant is a first time Player of the Week recipient.

Special teams: KaVontae Turpin, Dallas Cowboys

Turpin recorded a 99-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in the Cowboys' 34-26 road win against the Washington Commanders.

In total, the 28-year-old returned four kickoffs for 179 yards to earn his first-career Player of the Week award. Turpin also made one reception for eight yards in the game.
