On Wednesday, the NFL announced the players of the week for the AFC and NFC in Week 15.
AFC
Offense: Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills
Earning a Player of the Week award has become old hat to Allen, who picked up his 15th such nod for his leadership of the Bills in their high-scoring Week 15 victory over the Detroit Lions.
Allen threw for 362 yards and two touchdowns on 23 of 34 passing (67.6 percent) as the Bills defeated their fellow Super Bowl hopefuls 48-42. He also rushed for 68 yards and two touchdowns as he continues to be a multifaceted threat for the Bills.
This is the quarterback's third POTW honour of the season.
Defense: Derek Stingley Jr., Houston Texans
Stingley was a force on the defensive side of the ball in the Texans' 20-12 win over the Miami Dolphins, recording five tackles, two tackles for loss and two interceptions in the victory.
As the only player with more than one INT in Week 15, he earned his second-career POTW award.
Special teams: Marvin Mims Jr., Denver Broncos
Mims racked up 97 punt-return yards for the Broncos in their 31-13 victory over the Indianapolis Colts, the second-most punt-return yards by any player in a single NFL game this season.
His prowess earned his his second-career POTW nod, following a Week 10 honour in 2023.
NFC
Offense: Baker Mayfield, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Mayfield completed 88.1 percent of his 27 pass attempts in Tampa Bay's 40-17 win against the Los Angeles Chargers, totalling 288 yards and four touchdowns with a 135.3 passer rating.
For leading the Buccaneers to the largest margin of victory of all NFL teams in Week 15, Mayfield earned his fifth-career POTW award.
Defense: Edgerrin Cooper, Green Bay Packers
The rookie linebacker earned his second POTW nod of the season after recording five tackles, two tackles for loss, two passes defensed, a sack and an interception in Green Bay's 30-13 victory at the Seattle Seahawks.
Special teams: KhaDarel Hodge, Atlanta Falcons
Hodge was the Las Vegas Raiders' punter's worst nightmare in Week 15, tipping a first-quarter punt to lead to a touchdown and blocking another punt in the third quarter that led to a field goal.
The wide receiver helped his team to a much-needed 15-9 win over the Raiders, earning him his first-ever POTW acknowledgement.
