It's down to four.
Tom Brady will look to lead the visiting Tampa Bay Buccaneers past Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers in the NFC title game Sunday. The defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs host the Buffalo Bills in the AFC title game during Championship Sunday's night cap.
Whether they'll have the services of Patrick Mahomes remains to be seen, although the quarterback practiced in limited capacity Wednesday and could clear the league's concussion protocol just in time for the game.
Brady pushed the Buccaneers past Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints last weekend and defeating Rodgers and the Packers at Lambeau Field will mark another harrowing challenge for the 43-year-old legendary QB.
Doing so will stamp Brady's 10th Super Bowl appearance, as he'll have the opportunity to vie for his seventh ring — and first Super Bowl win without former coach Bill Belichick by his side. The fact that Super Bowl LV will be played at the Bucs' Raymond James Stadium on Feb. 7 should give Brady extra incentive to secure the team's spot in the big game.
Meanwhile, the Bills' drubbing of the Baltimore Ravens last weekend combined with Mahomes' status being up in the air could help pave the way for Buffalo to make its first Super Bowl appearance since 1994. That year capped the franchise's notorious fourth consecutive Super Bowl loss.
If Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs can keep showing chemistry, the Bills should give the Chiefs all they could handle. Allen connected with Diggs on eight receptions for 106 yards and a touchdown last weekend, as the pair will look to lead the Bills to the upset win.
