Former NFL cornerback and current NFL analyst Darius Butler has stated that Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni is 'on the clock.'
The Eagles endured a Jekyll and Hyde 2023-24 season. Sirianni's team started the season 8-1 but finished the season 3-5 before falling to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Super Wildcard Weekend.
The collapse led to speculations about whether Sirianni would return after meeting with owner Jeffrey Lurie. Lurie green-lit Sirianni's return and sanctioned a spending spree as the Eagles aim to return to the Super Bowl.
Philadelphia has already signed Saquon Barkley, DaVante Parker, Matt Hennessy, CJ Gardner-Johnson, Bryce Huff, Devin White, and Zach Baun and granted contract extensions to Landon Dickerson and Brandon Graham.
Butler analysed the signings on the Up & Adams show. He said, "The Eagles have been aggressive. GM Howie Roseman has gone all in again. Nick Sirianni is definitely on the clock. Bryce Huff, Saquon Barkley, Gardner-Johnson, I love what the Eagles have done in free agency."
After a dismal end to their 2023-24 season, the Eagles are pushing their poker chips into the middle for a big run at the Super Bowl in 2024. The pressure is on everyone.
