The fates of both the New York Giants and Philadelphia Eagles are locked in, so the narrative for Sunday's Week 18 showdown between the NFC East rivals will likely focus on individual players on both sides.

For the Giants, they have long been out of the playoff picture and are looking forward to the 2025 campaign. This week's game represents one final opportunity for players to show that they should be kept on ahead of the inevitable offseason shake-up as the Giants try to rebuild their way back to relevance.

Meanwhile, the Eagles are very relevant in the upcoming postseason as they are once again one of the best teams in the league. While they are locked into the No. 2 seed in the NFC and will surely rest several starters this week, their two biggest stars — Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley — could both see action.

Hurts has been in concussion protocol and missed Week 17, but could be available for the regular season finale. If so, it wouldn't be surprising to see the quarterback on the field for at least part of the game as he looks to shake off some rust.

As for Barkley, the running back is 101 yards off Eric Dickerson's single-season rushing record and surely wants to break the mark against his old team. His status within the Eagles team and the magnitude of the 40-year-old record probably means that Barkley starts and is given every opportunity to claim the milestone as his own as early as possible.

Barkley's pursuit alone makes this one a must-watch.

Here's everything you need to know ahead of Eagles vs. Giants.
