The San Francisco 49ers are just one win away from lifting the Vince Lombardi trophy, as they face Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl this Sunday.
It has been a brilliant season for the 49ers, who finished #1 seed in the NFC before comeback wins in the playoffs against the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions.
For all the comfortable wins, there have been a few questions raised about quarterback Brock Purdy - who was taken by the 49ers with the final pick of the 2022 NFL Draft.
Despite the criticism, the 24-year-old has led his team to the Super Bowl in his first full season as a starter, and head coach Kyle Shanahan was quick to defend his player in the build up to the big game.
Speaking at the Super Bowl's media day, Shanahan told the media: "[Naming Purdy starter] was the easiest decision ever.
"Since the day we got him, he's been the most consistent quarterback that I've been around.
"I felt a certain way, our players felt a certain way. And when he got in because of injury he had those seven games and went through every situation possible... and what he did wasn't a fluke.
"That's why I knew if he was healthy going into the next year we had a hell of a quarterback."
