It's the biggest gambling week of the year as Super Bowl LVI kicks off Sunday in Inglewood, Calif.
The hometown Los Angeles Rams face the Cincinnati Bengals at SoFi Stadium with the Vince Lombardi Trophy on the line, and as usual there are several bets to be made in conjuction with the big game.
Here are some of the many bets on offer for the NFL's championship showdown (all odds via BetMGM as of February 9).
Moneyline
Rams: 1.50
Bengals: 2.65
The Rams will be playing in their own stadium after amassing a better regular-season record and defeating the defending champions in the playoffs, so it's not too surprising that they have been installed as the favorites.
Point spread
Rams: -4.5
Bengals: +4.5
At -4.5, the Rams would have only beaten the spread once over their last five games (the 34-11 drubbing of the Cardinals in the Wild Card). The other four games have been decided by three points or less, with LA losing one of them (vs. the 49ers in Week 18).
Total
Over 48.5: 1.91
Under 48.5: 1.91
Both teams are capable of putting up big numbers.
Super Bowl MVP
- Matthew Stafford 2.35
- Joe Burrow 3.25
- Cooper Kupp 7.00
- Aaron Donald 13.00
- Ja'Marr Chase 17.00
- Odell Beckham 26.00
It's no shock that the starting quarterbacks are the top two favorites to win the Super Bowl MVP award, although wide receiver Cooper Kupp delivers a good return given his ability to change games.
