Tampa Bay Buccaneers safety Antoine Winfield Jr. says he is "sure" the franchise are hoping to tempt quarterback Tom Brady out of retirement once again.

Brady, considered the best quarterback of all time, is now 45 years old and has already come out of retirement once to join the Bucs for the 2022 season.

Speaking on the Richard Sherman Podcast, Winfield Jr. said: "I’m sure we’re still reaching out to him (Tom Brady) trying to see if he’s trying to come back to the team.

"Hey, it could happen. Anything’s possible."

The move seems unlikely, with Brady currently enjoying retirement and attempting to buy a percentage of the Las Vegas Raiders.

That financial move would have to be put on hold if Brady made a sensational return to the NFL field.

As things stand, the Buccaneers have Baker Mayfield and Kyle Trask as their top two options at quarterback, so a move for Brady makes sense from their point of view.

As unlikely as it seems, Brady has already made one dramatic return to the NFL so as Winfield Jr. put it "anything's possible".
