Deshaun Watson's time as quarterback for the Cleveland Browns continues to go from bad to worse.
Watson's time at the Browns has been plagued by off field issues and injuries with him playing just 12 games in the last two seasons for the franchise.
Now he is set for another spell on the sidelines after picking up an injury in his team's Week 10 win over the Baltimore Ravens.
What injury did Deshaun Watson sustain?
Deshaun Watson fractured his right shoulder after being hit in the first quarter of the game against the Ravens.
Despite the injury, Watson carried on playing where he also picked up an injury to his left ankle whilst helping his team to a 33-31 win.
While Watson's courage and determination has to be admired, it's likely that the decision to carry on taking snaps will have made the injuries worse.
How long will Deshaun Watson be injured for?
The Browns confirmed on Tuesday that Deshaun Watson will undergo surgery on the injured shoulder.
As a result of the procedure, Watson will miss the rest of the 2023 season and return in 2024.
Who will be the quarterback for the Cleveland Browns?
Backup quarterback PJ Walker will be filling the hole left by Watson.
Walker has already made five appearances this season throwing one touchdown and five interceptions, and now comes up against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 11 whose defense have been an effective unit so far in 2023.
