Who is most likely to win Super Bowl LIX? Ranking the remaining teams

The regular season is over and the playoffs are set to begin.

Fourteen teams are vying to be the last one standing, although some will fancy their chances more than others.

But who will win it all? With the road to the Vince Lombardi Trophy underway, DAZN News breaks down the contenders

1 - Kansas City Chiefs

The Chiefs rolled to the top seed in the AFC despite showing some cracks along the way, but when push came to shove they showed their championship pedigree.

Recency bias goes against them as they heavily rotated their lineup in Week 18 and got blanked by the Denver Broncos, but this team has displayed time and again that they know how to win in many ways.

As two-time defending Super Bowl champions, the Chiefs were always going to be in the top spot.

2 - Detroit Lions

The top seed in the NFC and co-owners of the best record in the league (with the Chiefs), the Lions have looked unstoppable for long stretches this season.

Blessed with a well-rounded squad that can do damage in a variety of ways, the Lions are arguably the best team in the NFL. However, now's the time to prove it.

3 - Buffalo Bills

Josh Allen has been playing at an MVP level all sesaon long, although he does have a couple of legitimate contenders for the crown.

Regardless, the Bills are once again one of the best teams in the league and they enter the playoffs with heightened expectations.

4 - Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles are blessed with the best non-quarterback in the league in Saquon Barkley, and their QB's not bad either!

Philadelphia is one of a handful of teams who have been a year-in and year-out contender in recent seasons, and while the memories of the Super Bowl LII victory are still vivid in Eagles fans' memories, the Eagles are eager to show that they are deserving of their status.

5 - Baltimore Ravens

Consistently one of the NFL's most exciting teams throughout the Lamar Jackson era, the Ravens have lived in Kansas City's shadow for years and need to improve on their postseason performances in order to solidify themselves as one league's of the true elite.

Jackson himself has had another stellar campaign, with many of his personal stats outshining all other quarterbacks, but the time for the 28-year-old to lead Baltimore on a long playoff run is now.

6 - Minnesota Vikings

The first post-Kirk Cousins season in Minnesota could not have gone better for the Vikings, who made a serious push for the best record in the entire league.

Sam Darnold's maiden campaign with the Vikings was a revelation as the quarterback led his new team through a thrilling season that now extends into the playoffs.

The biggest question mark hanging over the Vikings is how Darnold will adapt to the postseason in his first foray.

7 - Washington Commanders

All eyes will be on rookie Jayden Daniels when the Commanders step on to the field against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Wild Card.

The Commanders surprised nearly everyone with their turnaround from a dismal 2023 campaign as they posted their highest win total in over three decades. Washington enters the playoffs on the back of a five-game win streak, so momentum will be on Daniels and Co.'s side.

8 - Green Bay Packers

Speaking of streaks, the Packers head into the postseason having lost their last two games.

However, their wider body of work shows — season finale against the Chicago Bears aside — that the Packers' losses only came against elite teams this season. A pair of defeats each to Detroit and Minnesota, along with a season-opening loss to Philadelphia, could indicate that the Packers are the best of the rest in the NFC, but they'll need to up their game as they take on the Eagles in the Wild Card.

9 - Los Angeles Chargers

Another team heading into the playoffs on a winning streak, the Chargers won their final three games of the regular season — although the last two were against non-playoff teams.

No matter though, the Chargers may not be blessed with the star power of many of their postseason cohorts but will strive to outwork their opponents.

10 - Los Angeles Rams

After starting the season 1-4, the Rams finished 9-3 to propel themselves back into the postseason with an identical record from the previous campaign.

Sean McVay's task is to improve upon their Wild Card exit from last year, but they'll be in tough against the Vikings.

11 - Houston Texans

The concerning drop-off of C.J. Stroud was not enough to keep the Texans out of the playoffs, but now they have to rely on the second-year QB to find his form when the lights are brightest.

Fortunately, Stroud has weapons in Joe Mixon and Nico Collins who have shown to be threats against anybody. Will it be enough against the Chargers?

12 - Pittsburgh Steelers

What a difference a month makes.

The Steelers were seemingly locks to win the AFC North in early December, but a four-game losing skid derailed their momentum and now they limp into the playoffs without a win against a playoff team since November.

Pittsburgh enjoyed a soft first half of the season that may have disguised the team's flaws, but anything can happen in one-off games.

13 - Tampa Bay Buccaneers

On the flip side of the Steelers are the Buccaneers, whose tough first-half regular season schedule gave way to a much softer end to the campaign.

The Bucs took advantage of the scheduling and won six of their last seven games, which were nearly all against non-playoff teams. No matter, as momentum is now on their side and they'll aim to keep it rolling in the Wild Card against the Commanders.

14 - Denver Broncos

The Broncos are likely in their "happy to be here" era as they needed a Week 18 victory against the Chiefs to secure their postseason berth, and the Chiefs obliged by resting all of their big names.

For their effort, the Broncos now get to face the Bills in the Wild Card, where they will be heavy underdogs.
