Adrien Broner comments on Roy Jones Jr as he prepares to face legendary boxer's fighterDAZN

Adrien Broner returns to the ring for the first time in two years when he faces Michael Williams on February 25th.

The Cincinatti fighter, a four-weight world champion, still has lofty ambitions in the sport but at the age of 33, Broner is running out of time to make a significant impact at championship level, a platform he once dominated.

In Williams, Broner is coming up against a hungry fighter who has his own ambitions that feature the spotlight that once shone brightly on the flashy stylist.

Prepared by Roy Jones Jr, a boxer Broner admires, Williams has given this opportunity his all and Broner can’t hide the fondness that he holds for the legendary fight figure.

“Roy Jones been around me a long time when I was with HBO,” said Broner when speaking exclusively on The DAZN Boxing Show. “It means a lot to me that I can perform in front of who I think is one of the best fighters ever.

“When I used to talk to Roy, he would talk back to me a lot, but I don’t think at that time I was as wild as what I got.”
