David Benavidez is Jake Paul’s favourite boxer.
The former WBC super-middleweight champion, a fighter consistently linked to Canelo Alvarez, has not yet achieved what many within the boxing community have expected him to.
The Arizona star’s next move is still unconfirmed, but he has the support of Paul whatever his next move is.
The popular YouTuber, set to face Anderson Silva this weekend, has made multiple claims about wanting to make boxing a better sport, and he is already guiding a number of fighters including Amanda Serrano.
Appearing on The DAZN Boxing Show, Paul made it clear that he’s eager to add Benavidez to his MVP roster.
“He’s big in the boxing world, he’s a superstar, he’s my favourite boxer,” said Paul when speaking to Ak and Brak regarding the unbeaten 25-year-old.
“He needs that push just like Amamda Serrano did. The kid needs to be on billboards, he needs to be on podcasts, he needs to be collaborating with influencers. He needs some big sponsorships to help get his name out there.”
