Amir Khan is the latest fight figure to express his praise for Anthony Joshua’s recent resurgence that has seen him return to the top level of the heavyweight division.
Joshua easily stopped Francis Ngannou last week and the result has got many people suggesting that the former world champion is a threat to Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk.
Those two meet on May 18 in a huge undisputed battle and the winner will rightly be declared the number one in their weight class.
Joshua is eager to test himself against both men in his current form and Khan, a fighter who knows what it takes to return from a setback, claims that his fellow Brit has his hunger back.
“It looks like his hunger's come back again, he wants to prove a point now, you do get that second wind. I think he's got his second wind where he wants to be on top again,” said Khan when speaking to Gambling Zone.
“He sees how much money and success is out there, having his name lit up and people talking about him again as the champ in the heavyweight division. I think he wants that back, I felt that hunger in him.”
