Sergio Mora believes that Amir Khan will be reluctant to fight Conor Benn given the threat he poses.
Benn called for a fight with 34-year-old Khan in the aftermath of his dominant dispatch of Samuel Vargas at the weekend, when he beat the Canadian-Colombian with a stoppage within 90 seconds of the first round.
Khan has been talking up a fight of his own with Kell Brook as the pair look to make what would probably be one last big-money fight before they retire.
Speaking on DAZN’s JABS to Chris Mannix, Mora suggested that Khan would not want to face Benn.
“I know exactly where Amir Khan is coming from,” he said.
“He wants nothing to do with a young, up and coming prospect like Conor Benn.
“I don’t blame him.”
When Mannix asked Mora who Khan would rather fight, he suggested a fairly straightforward motivation for the former light-welterweight world champion, joking he would prefer, “anybody that brings a big paycheque.”
