UPDATE: Click here for results and highlights of Ruiz-Joshua 2
The sequel to one of the biggest upsets in boxing history is here, as Andy Ruiz Jr. puts his IBF, WBA (super) and WBO heavyweight titles on the line against Anthony Joshua on Saturday, Dec. 7 at Diriyah Arena in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia, live on DAZN.
On June 1, Ruiz (33-1, 22 KOs), who came in as a 15-1 underdog, sent the boxing world into a frenzy by delivering a seventh-round TKO and handing Joshua the first loss of his career.
It didn't take long for Joshua (22-1, 21 KOs) to invoke his rematch clause, and now the two are set for their "Clash on the Dunes" in Saudi Arabia.
Ruiz was a late replacement for Jarrell Miller in the first fight. Will a full training camp to prepare for Ruiz be the remedy Joshua needs in his quest regain his championship belts? Or does Ruiz prove what happened wasn't a fluke, and he belongs in the conversation with top-tier heavyweights like Joshua, WBC titlist Deontay Wilder and lineal champion Tyson Fury?
