Anthony Joshua has hit back at some of his loudest critics within the boxing industry as he looks to get back to winning ways this weekend.

Joshua faces Jermaine Franklin this Saturday night, live and exclusive on DAZN, and although his focus is returning to the top of the heavyweight pile, certain swipes at him by former fighters haven't gone unnoticed.

As the face of British boxing since winning Olympic gold in 2012, Joshua has been under intense scrutiny throughout his career.

Amir Khan and Carl Froch, two incredibly decorated fighters, are just two members of the boxing community to have their say on Joshua, and the Watford man has responded.

“These people don’t get me. Not on my wavelength. Not at my level. I don’t use boxing as a platform to rant and rave and disrespect other fighters,” said Joshua when speaking to The Mail

“If these people have something to say, say it to me. They have my number. Call me. If I have something to say about you, I’ll say it face to face.

“When it was Carl talking s--- about me I messaged him direct to ask what it was all about. When it was Amir and that s--- about me with his wife why did he go online? At least message.

“Then when I see these guys at a fight or somewhere they’re coming up and saying, ‘Hi AJ, how are you?’ How does that work?”
