A few details still need to completed but Joshua is hopeful that fight occurs this summer

Anthony Joshua remains confident that a fight with Tyson Fury will take place this summer.

Despite both fighters signing on the dotted line for a two-fight series in 2021, a number of issues surrounding the logistics of the fight such as site and date are not yet finalised.

Eddie Hearn, Joshua’s promoter, has been working tirelessly behind the scenes to secure a venue for the fight with a number of interested hosts expressing a desire to stage what will be a monumental event. Locations ranging from Saudi Arabia to Las Vegas are all in play, but a final choice has still not been agreed on.

"I'm pretty sure it'll be this year, end of July, early August," opined Joshua when appearing as a guest on ITV’s Jonathan Ross Show, which airs Saturday night at 9.35pm in the UK.

"Where? That's what's the delay, because of this pandemic. We want to have people coming to the venue. It's just finding the right location. For me, Wembley would be ideal.

"I've signed my side of the deal. We've sent him [Tyson] a good offer, one I'm sure he won't refuse. He wants the fight, no doubt about it, so do I and more than me and him, the whole public want it. I put my crystal ball out there and I say it's going to happen this year one hundred per cent."
