Anthony Joshua has claimed that WBC world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury is 'ducking' the all-British super fight.
There is no doubt that if Joshua and Fury were to meet, it would be the biggest event this country has seen, and there have been numerous attempts to make it happen.
However, as can often be the case with fights of this magnitude, there is a stumbling block which results in deals collapsing.
The pair tried to strike a deal for an undisputed heavyweight title in 2021, but instead Fury was ruled to fight Deontay Wilder for a third time by a court of arbitration. Then talks resumed in late 2022, but talks once again failed to have any substance.
Now Joshua could not help but fire back at Fury in a recent interview with DAZN.
"I wish I could balance this, cause he’s ducking," Joshua said.
"He’s definitely a duck. Whether he’s ducking me, not right now, but he’s definitely a duck.
“That’s facts, like you can’t deny he’s a duck."
Joshua's last outing came in August when he knocked out Robert Helenius in the seventh round of their contest at London's O2 Arena.
