Eddie Hearn expects Anthony Joshua to finalise a fight with Oleksandr Usyk in the coming days.
The Matchroom promoter told the DAZN Boxing Show that he expected Joshua to face his WBO mandatory challenger Usyk in the second half of September.
The fight was mandated by the governing body once Joshua’s proposed fight with Tyson Fury fell through when the WBC title holder was ordered to fight Deontay Wilder after an arbitration case went in the Bronze Bomber’s favour.
“We’ve agreed terms on that fight,” he confirmed.
“Usyk’s team have the contract, we’re waiting for their comments on the contract.
“We’re looking at middle-to-end-of September. Everything is in order in that fight and I expect Usyk to be Joshua’s next fight.”
