Frank Warren has stated that Daniel Dubois will be ‘dangerous’ throughout the entire fight when he faces Anthony Joshua later this year.
Dubois will defend his IBF heavyweight title against his countryman on September 21 at Wembley Stadium and some people analysing the bout believe that the champion has to make a fast start and not allow Joshua to take over in the later rounds.
Currently on a great run of form, Dubois has impressed in recent outing and has produced two impressive stoppages over Jarrell Miller and Filip Hrgovic.
Warren, who has guided Dubois since his professional debut, has always backed his man and he’s full of confidence heading into this clash.
“He’ll do it when he does it. He’s dangerous at any moment in the fight,” said Warren when speaking with Boxnation.
“I want AJ to engage with him. I don’t want him to go on his back foot like in his second fight with Ruiz and what he done with Usyk.
I want him to come and fight. That’s what I want. That, for us, favours Daniel in a big way.”
