Teddy Atlas believes Daniel Dubois has to be a different fighter from his win over Filip Hrgovic when he faces Anthony Joshua this weekend.
The pair will meet at Wembley Stadium, live on DAZN , and the contest will see Dubois defend his recently acquired IBF title for the first time.
Back in June, Dubois weathered an early storm against Filip Hrgovic before breaking his opponent down and scoring an impressive stoppage victory.
Dubois was caught with several big shots, especially with the right hand, and Atlas, a legendary trainer, believes a similar approach will be disastrous against Joshua.
“Joshua’s in a good place mentally and of course technically with Ben Davison,” said Atlas when speaking on The Stomping Ground .
“If [Dubois] expects to take the same punishment and walk through it those first few rounds, it ain’t happening.
"So, unless they improve on the technical side to avoid those punches, no. It could be a short night.”
