Anthony Joshua will find a way to stop Daniel Dubois in the first four rounds of their heavyweight encounter this weekend.
That’s the verdict of Tony Bellew who thinks Joshua’s firepower will be a major factor in their heavyweight clash that can be seen live on DAZN this Saturday night.
Joshua enters the bout a significant favourite following an excellent run of form that has seen him rebuild his career after consecutive losses to Oleksandr Usyk.
Joshua has stopped his last three opponents with his most recent win against Francis Ngannou only lasting two rounds.
Bellew, a former world champion at cruiserweight, has watched the best and worst moments from both fighters, and he thinks it could be a painful night for the current IBF heavyweight champion.
“All I can see is Joshua early. The first four rounds,” said Bellew during an exclusive chat with DAZN ahead of the huge fight.
“I know Daniel carries a big threat and he’s had a couple of big wins over Filip Hrgovic and Jarrell Miller, but Joshua is a level or two above those guys and this fight is on another level to anything Daniel has encountered before.
“Joshua knows what it takes to be in the big fights at the big stadiums and it often brings the best out of him when it matters most. I really admire Daniel for getting himself to this position because he’s proved plenty of people wrong, but I feel this is just one step too far.
“Daniel takes too many shots and if you look at the Hrgovic fight, he was taking right hand after right hand. You won’t get away with that with Joshua and that’s how I think the fight will be won.”
