Could the heavyweights meet this year?

Tony Bellew has backed Anthony Joshua to produce an emphatic performance if he’s to fight Daniel Dubois next.

The heavyweight rivals have been linked to a September showdown at Wembley Stadium where the IBF crown could also be up for grabs.

Since losing his world titles to Oleksandr Usyk in 2021, Joshua has experienced many changes, but now he appears settled with Ben Davison in his corner.

Dubois, who has also lost to Usyk, is in decent form with consecutive stoppage wins over Jarrell Miller and Filip Hrgovic, but Bellew doesn't give Dubois much chance against Joshua.

“If he fights AJ next, it ends quickly and brutally,” said Bellew when speaking about the fight to IFLTV

“Purely based on the fact that, let’s just put two and two together here. He took 56 clean right hands in the first four rounds.

“You’ll get away with one or two against AJ, and then you know what happens? Then you go to sleep.”
