Former world champion Kell Brook thinks that Anthony Joshua is the favourite heading into his rematch with Dillian Whyte.
Joshua and Whyte fight on DAZN PPV and DAZN (click here for details) on August 12 in what would be Joshua’s second fight of the year.
The former unified champion is building to a potential fight with Deontay Wilder in December in Saudi Arabia, and the winner of that fight would likely consider themselves the rightful challenger to Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury, or the winner should they ever manage to meet in the ring.
For now, Joshua and Whyte are focused on one another and the loser might have to consider their future in the sport, as they would probably be far from ever landing another title shot.
Speaking to Betting Sites, Brook thinks both fighters have their weaknesses, but he believes Joshua should carry the tie.
He said: “That's a tough one because AJ is a bit punch shy and Dillian Whyte hasn’t really been holding a shot too well.
“I know it’s heavyweight boxing and anything can happen, especially with the emotion that is involved with those two fighters.
“I can see either of them winning but AJ should be winning it.”
