Anthony Joshua will have an easy night when he steps into the ring with Francis Ngannou in less than two months' time.
That’s the verdict of Johnny Nelson, the former WBO cruiserweight champion, who believes that Joshua will be far too good and experienced for the previous UFC heavyweight champion.
Ngannou almost caused the biggest shock in boxing history last October when he dropped Tyson Fury before losing a narrow split decision to the current WBC ruler.
Ngannou’s reward for such a spirited performance is another high-profile fight, but he has it all to do against the 2012 Olympic champion according to Nelson.
“I think AJ gets the job done easy. Everybody knows what to expect,” said Nelson when speaking to Boxing King Media.
“Now we know Ngannou can’t be hustled and pressed, you have to be on your A-game. You can’t go in there like Fury did and drop the ball because you’d be embarrassed.
“He knows Ngannou is tough, strong, and AJ has to be sharp, use his movement, be fit, if not he gets turned over.”
