Anthony Joshua vs. Francis Ngannou - Tyson Fury's father offers his verdict on heavyweight battleMatchroom
A few huge months of heavyweight action are on the horizon.

Anthony Joshua and Francis Ngannou will collide in just under two months time and one man who knows how much a threat Ngannou possesses is John Fury.

After watching his son, Tyson, get dropped by the former UFC superstar before escaping with a narrow split decision victory, the elder Fury isn’t quick to dismiss Ngannou’s chances against Joshua.

The bout, which takes place in Saudi Arabia on March 8, will see Ngannou have his second professional boxing contest and, once again, he’s a significant underdog.

Fury Sr, who will watch his son tackle Oleksandr Usyk next month, has provided his thoughts on the other big heavyweight clash that’s coming up.

“I’ll be honest with you, you can’t write Ngannou off, he proved that against Tyson,” said Fury Sr when speaking to Boxing Social.

“He’s a strong kid, he’s got power, he’s built, you know, and if he comes wanting to win, if he comes with desire and determination, he’s a problem for anyone in the world, it’s been proven.”
