Former super middleweight world champion George Groves back Anthony Joshua and others to stand out at the weekend.
Joshua will fight late replacement Robert Helenius after the fight with Dillian Whyte was cancelled.
The card will be shown live on DAZN this Saturday, coming from the O2 Arena, and there are plenty of notable match-ups on the undercard to set the tone for the main event, as Joshua prepares for a potential clash with former WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder later in the year, or in early 2024.
Elsewhere, Filip Hrgovic is taking on young Australian Demsey McKean, and Derek Chisora is back once more to face off up against Gerald Washington.
In addition, Ricky Hatton’s son, Campbell Hatton, is one of the promising young contenders in action, as is Brandon Scott.
Groves sees lots of fights worth his attention, telling Genting Casino: “It is a good solid card now. AJ is back fighting again, Filip Hrgovic is in a title contender match at Heavyweight and we get to see Derek Chisora in a dust up. We also get to see prospects such as Campbell Hatton and Brandon Scott. It is the best out of a bad situation to be honest.’’
Joshua vs. Helenius will be shown live on DAZN on Saturday August 12. Click here for more details.
