Fury isn't the only one promising to unleash his savage side in what could be the biggest heavyweight fight in years.

Anthony Joshua says he will not be civilised when he steps into the ring against Tyson Fury later this year, if all goes to plan.

WBA, WBO and IBF champ Joshua is on the verge of signing a finalised contract to meet WBC titleholder Fury, per his promoter Eddie Hearn. After that, all that remains to be arranged is the exact date and venue.

After Fury warned that he will be going for a knockout in a similar aggressive fashion to the way in which he won his last bout vs. Deontay Wilder a year ago, Joshua offered some fighting talk of his own on his official YouTube channel.

He said: "Some people may not understand it and I realise in this life is that, 99 per cent of the population are civilised people.

"The job I've chosen is for the uncivilised. This is a sport of combat and war. We're not civilised people, we're warriors, and I love it.

"No matter what the tactics are, no matter how much you study, no matter how much you think you can beat me, I'm just there to win.

"I'm there to do a job, and that's the fighter's mentality."

"AJ" also recently collaborated Hearn's expectation that the bout will take place this summer.

"I think maybe June, end of June, he told Sky Sports. "It needs a bit of time, because the pandemic is unpredictable at the minute.

"We don't know what's happening, but with a little more time, it gives us more time to prepare and plan."
